Q I know that only 50% of marketing is measurable, but which 50% is that?
A All marketing is measurable and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Some channels are easier to measure, such as the internet and direct mail. However, if you are clear on your objectives for each activity, you will be able to set a target and measure this, sometimes it will involve research before and after the activity, but it will be measurable all the same.
Q How can I justify the budget to bring you in to look at our marketing?
A In over 90% of cases where we have undertaken reviews with clients, we have either reduced their budget or increased their effectiveness, delivering a significant ROI on our fees.
Q I need some marketing to deliver more sales now, how can I do this?
A Marketing is a long-term activity and takes time to achieve its full potential. More than likely, marketing will not deliver results immediately, it will take time, this can be up to a year, depending on budget, resource, target market, competition etc.
Q Do you do PR?
A No, PR is a specialist area of the marketing mix. To be good, you not only have to be able to write good articles, but also need to have excellent media contacts and be creative in how you get media exposure. We are able to recommend PR agencies depending on your requirements.
Q It is all well and good you writing a marketing plan, but how do I implement it?
A Where necessary, we can provide an experienced marketing management team to ensure your marketing is delivered and delivers results to your business.
Q I have a marketing team with a marketing director, why would I need you as well?
A Marketing is about knowledge and creativity and often getting an external objective view from an additional resource with more knowledge and expertise can generate new ideas without the cost of taking on an additional overhead.
Q Is social media just for kids?
A No, it is still in its early days, but it is a great way of building a community around a specific subject and raising your business profile. It is not free though and takes time to manage.
Q We did a mailing last year and got no sales from it, why was this?
A Marketing is not about one off activities, it is a constant process and normally, experts refer to four contacts to get a decision from a target. You should never stop marketing, the minute you do, your pipeline will shrink.
Q How do I get added to your supplier list?
A We’re always interested in hearing from new suppliers to ensure we can offer the best options available to our clients. If you have a product or service that you think could achieve great results, why not give us a call and send us some information to firstname.lastname@example.org. If we think it’s relevant, we’ll always share it with the team and keep you on record.
