When introduced in 1995, the Tesco Clubcard helped the supermarket to become the giant that it is today. Only a year after it was introduced, it was reported that customers were spending 28% more at Tesco and 16% less at, then arch rival, Sainsbury’s stores.

Beacon Technology: What does it all mean?
